Three New Pairs of Earrings

I've been very busy rebuilding my jewelry inventory, working with Jet and getting the house back in some semblance of order after months of ignoring it.  You'd think I would learn not to let things go for so long, but I never do.  My blogging has been moved to the back burner and will probably remain there.

For the first time in my life, I've been summoned for the Grand Jury.  I'm actually quite excited about it and hope I get selected.  This probably sounds crazy to you, but I think I'll find it very interesting.  I have to report later this month and will find out at that time if I will serve.

In the mean time, here are three new pairs of earrings I've listed in my etsy shop.

I purchased a ton (not a literal ton, but a lot) of those wavy discs in both sterling silver and gold vermeil.  I love the way they look together, as in the last pair of earrings.  I'm working out a bunch of designs using them.

Click on any of the above photos to go directly to the listings.

Barrette Collector

When I was a kid, I always had short hair.  I kept it short through my 20's.  When we moved aboard our sailboat in 1988, I decided to grow my hair long.  I've been collecting barrettes ever since.  I store them clipped to belts that are hanging from hooks in my closet.  That way, I can see them all at a glance.  Pretty clever, huh?

I have polymer clay barrettes, beaded barrettes, fused glass barrettes, carved wood barrettes, birch bark barrettes (favs), metal barrettes -- I think you get the idea.  I have barrettes . A lot.

While browsing etsy one day last year, I found Restringit, who was offering these awesome mixed metal barrettes at an extremely reasonable price.  I bought two.

Aren't they great?

Rick's Beads

handcrafted jewelry bead copper brass sterling silverMany of you know that Rick is a talented metalsmith. He didn't get there overnight. He trained as a machinist and worked for many years as a welder, working on some of the largest construction projects in Alaska. About 4 years ago, he decided to try his hand at a different sort of metal work -- jewelry. He has proven to be a quick study and his natural charm (HA!) works very well on his adoring customers (double HA!).

I've decided to add some of his handcrafted beads to my etsy shop. They're gorgeous and can be worn alone or incorporated into a more complex design. This is only one I've listed so far, but there are more to come. Stay tuned!
