Vintage Image Notecards

These vintage images were created from rubber stamps from The Stampsmith. Estelle has a wonderful selection of photo image stamps of flappers, celebrities and regular folks. They are great for collages and notecards.

I used dark brown ink on glossy cardstock to stamp these images. The best way to ink these stamps is to use a brayer. The detail is so fine, that a brayer is the only way I've found that results in full and even coverage.

The background that I created using the Gesso Batik technique from the Technique Junkies Newsletter had a very vintage feel to it. The background is the same on both cards, but I chose slightly different color schemes for each card. I also chose different surface embellisments for the two cards.

How beautiful both cards are. The backgrounds really do support and do justice to the images, Vicki!
